The sauna is the brainchild of Tysnes local Christian Nome Lepsøe, who founded the Tysnes winter bathing club in 2019 and raised the funds to build it. The design is borrowed from Bade-Olena in Skudeneshavn, inspired by the old coastal lighthouse lanterns along the fairway.
It is open to everyone, every day from 08:00 to 22:00, trust-based, the Tysnes way. You book a slot online and have the sauna entirely to yourselves.
